Highway & Roads Committee Meeting

Tuesday June 28, 2022

The Highway & Roads Committee met at 1:00pm on Tuesday June 28, 2022.

In attendance for the public meeting are Commissioner Ralph Lutjen, Alexis Wagoner-Administrator & Kelly Robitaille-DPW Foreman.

At 1:00pm Commissioner Ralph Lutjen calls the meeting to order

The primary reason for this meeting was to go over old road plans and use that as a template to start a new road plan. The last road plan was done in 2017.

Review of the current CRF balances:

Road Construction CRF balance is $7,218.72,

Highway Equipment Cap Exp CRF balance is $41,747.17

Highway Equipment CRF balance is $75,144.76.

Review and discussion on the 2017 road plans and what projects and spending are estimated for the next 3-5 years.

Projects to look at for the next 3-5 years and their estimated cost:

Aspen Paving: estimated cost $40,000

Grison Culvert: estimated cost $300,000

Blinden Paving: estimated cost $50,000

Eidelweiss Drive Shim: estimated cost $7,000

Eidelweiss Drive Paving: estimated cost $200,000

New 7400 Truck: estimated coast $225,000

KR is going to look at the projects and get more accurate estimates as well as timelines for how long projects can be held off for.

Will have another meeting next month to review the information and continue with updating the road plan.
