Asplundh Tree Service, as subcontractor for Eversource, has been cutting trees that endanger the power lines within the District. Property owners should have received notice and granted permission for the removal of any tree that has been cut on their property.

Be advised that unless you granted permission to Asplundh to take the wood, the wood from the cut trees is the property owner's responsibility to remove; it was your tree, it is your wood. If you have not yet removed any wood that was left on your property, whether or not within the right-of-way, please do so at your earliest convenience.

You may contact Eversource with any complaints regarding removal of any tree.

The water levels in the ponds are low. This is due to the low amount of snow and spring run off from last winter compounded by an abnormally dry spring and summer. Many portions of NH have recently been upgraded from minor to moderate drought levels. The remaining portions of the State remain abnormally dry.

We would like to remind everyone that discharge of Fireworks is illegal in the Town of Madison; including Eidelweiss. It is especially important during a dry year to not discharge fireworks as the risk of wildfire is greatly increased during a dry year.

Stay cool and enjoy a swim, the water's beautiful!
