[gview file="https://vdoe-nh.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Water-Interruptions-for-July-24-2017.pdf"] The water system will be systematically checked for leaks over the two week period of Monday, July 24 to Friday, August 4, 2017. Based on high water usage numbers, a leak is suspected within the distribution system. In order to check an area for a leak that may exist, the water service to the area will be shut down and the area checked.

Water Service Interruptions

Interruptions in water service will occur between Monday, July 24 and Friday, August 4, 2017. Interruptions will occur within all areas of the District while sections of the water system are isolated for leak detection over the two week schedule.

Water service interruptions will begin no earlier than 9 am

Service will be restored as soon as possible, no later than 5 pm.

Please plan accordingly.

We appreciate your understanding while this necessary work is completed.

Earlier today, the rain water overwhelmed the 30-inch culvert running under Burgdorf road and took an alternate path undermining the road. Eroding away material next to the old 30-inch culvert, the water left the road in an unstable and unknown state. It appears that the underneath the surface of the road, there is a large sink hole formed by the water. The road has been closed on either side of the damaged area. While thru-traffic is impacted, all homes are reachable. We have contacted the district engineer and are working on a solution to repair and re-open the road.

Thank you.

Dear Eidelweiss Resident,

Starting on Saturday, July 25, technicians hired by the Village of Eidelweiss will be doing field work near or possibly on your property to look for and verify the location of the districts water curb stop valve. This is all part of the districts ongoing Asset Management Program.

These individuals will be wearing fluorescent orange or green vests while conducting their work.
They may be taking measurements from corners of your house to the curb stop to get precise location readings. They will also be acquiring GPS readings of these valves. The technicians will then mark the valve location for future reference.

Please allow them access to do their work and don't be afraid to say "Hello!!" .

They should only be at any one location for no more than 20 minutes as they have a lot of valves to locate in the next few months.

This data gathering effort will allow the Village District to better respond to a water emergency at your home in the future as well as better facilitate any routine water system maintenance to your home .

Thank you for your patience and cooperation with this project.
